Kayaking in the Cook Islands is popular within the lagoon around Rarotonga and most hotels and beach bungalows, and even the private holiday homes, provide a sea kayak so you can explore the reef. The best place for kayaking on Rarotonga is around Muri Beach and the south-east coast where the four uninhabited islands lie offshore. Kayak rentals are available at Muri Beach.

Kayaking is also great around Aitutaki Lagoon but unfortunately there are few places to hire kayaks for the day.

There are no specialist kayak tours in the Cook Islands.
