Cook Islands Wedding Information
A license is required to marry in the Cook Islands. These are obtainable from the Registrar of Marriages at Avarua on Rarotonga and take 3 days to process. Applications must be made in person and cannot be prearranged from your home country. Licenses cost approximately $56 for a registrar marriage or $23 for church ministers. If a license is required in less than 3 days, an additional fee of approximately $NZ45 will be required. Marriage certificates cost a further $12.

What you need to bring:
Passports
Original birth certificates
Officially witnessed consent of your father if you are under 21
Decree Absolute (divorce papers) if relevant
Death certificate of deceased former spouse if relevant

Weddings can be arranged at one of the islands many beautiful churches or on the beach
